On this day, March 5th, 1963, Patsy Cline, Cowboy Copas, and Hawkshaw Hawkins were killed in an airplane crash near Camden, TN, along with their pilot Randy Hughes. I can only imagine what more incredible music would’ve come out of these legends had they had the chance to create it. We’ll have to wait until we see them with the Angel Band.
