Joe Kent's decision to step down over his position on the Iran war, and the claims he made in his resignation letter to President Donald Trump, has prompted much discussion.

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) pressed Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on the resignation letter from Joe Kent, one of her top aides who resigned earlier this week over his opposition to the U.

But White House aides did not anticipate Kent publicly posting his resignation on government letterhead, one senior administration official told the Wall Street Journal. The Independent has asked the White House for comment.
